have / have got (form)

1. We can use contractions (‘ve and ‘s) with 'have got', but not with 'have'

• I've got a sister (correct)
• I've a sister (incorrect)

2. Positive form

• I/You/We/They have got many friends / I/You/We/They've got many friends
• He/She has got many friends / He/She's got many friends

3. Negative form

• I/You/We/They don't have got any money / I/You/We/They haven't got any money
• He/She doesn't have got any money / He/She hasn't got any money

4. Question form

• Do I/you/we/they have a new car?
• Does he/she have a new car?
• Have I/you/we/they got a new car?
• Has he/she got a new car?

5. Short answer form

• Do you have a computer?  Yes, I do / No, I don't
• Have you got a computer? Yes, I have / No, I haven't
