Complete each sentence choosing the correct option

  1. In a restaurant, the menu is a list of food and beverages   to customers and the prices.

  2. Menus may be printed on paper sheets   to the diners, put on a large poster or display board inside the establishment.

  3. In the 19th and 20th centuries   menus were often used for society dinner-parties in homes; indeed this was their original use in Europe.

  4. Menus, as lists of   foods, have been discovered dating back to the Song dynasty in China.

  5. Before then,   establishments or tables d'hôte served dishes chosen by the chef or proprietors.

  6. The establishment of restaurants and restaurant menus allowed customers to choose from a list of   dishes.
